ATTENDING THE CONFERENCE
LCC is just across the road from the Elephant and Castle Underground Station. Look for a tall building with lots of multi-coloured tiles. The entrance is under the large red shelter.
Guests are invited to arrive at LCC from 8:30am on Monday, July 7. There will be a welcome desk available every day during regular Conference hours for anyone who arrives later.
The conference brochure is available digitally. It can be downloaded from the Schedule tab of this website.
If you are posting to social media, please use the hashtag #SAS36 so that all of the conference posts are grouped together.
All of the LCC Facilities team are trained first aiders. If you feel unwell or need any support then you can ask any member of staff or make your way to the front reception for assistance.
Please have your lanyard available to enable the LCC team to identify conference delegates.

For those presenting, please be reminded that individual presentations should last for 15-20 minutes, and microtalks should be no longer than 5 minutes. We will need to be strict with these timings to ensure that everyone on the panel gets their fair share of time, and to ensure that there is an opportunity for audience questions at the end of the panel. Please make sure that you have prepared your presentation accordingly, and adhere to the guidance of the panel's Chair during the event itself.
To ensure that we have no AV issues on the day, we will be running all panel presentations from the computers in the Lecture Theatres. We would also request that any slides are outputted as PowerPoint files (.ppt or .pptx). This will allow us to generate live captions for our guests who are hard of hearing. The computer will also be able to play audio/visual files via VLC in the usual formats. Although the Lecture Theatre computers will be connected to the Internet, please try to ensure that all presentation materials are designed to function offline, in case of any unexpected technical issues.
We will be sending around Google Drive links on the morning of Saturday, July 5 for all presenters to upload their presentation files (slides and any audio/visual materials). Please email info-sas2025@arts.ac.uk if you are presenting and have not received this email. Please can we ask that all presenters submit their finalised materials NO LATER THAN 7am BST on the day in which you are presenting. This will allow our conference team to download the materials onto the Lecture Theatre comptuers ahead of the day's activities. Please also ensure that you have a back-up copy of your presentation materials available, ideally on a USB drive.
Presenters, please make sure that you arrive to your designated Lecture Theatre at least 15 minutes before the start of the panel for final testing of your presentation materials.
