PUBLIC TRANSPORT
London College of Communication is across the road from the Elephant & Castle Underground (tube/subway) station, which is serviced by both the Bakerloo and Northern Lines, as well as the Elephant & Castle railway station. There are also numerous bus routes that travel to and from Elephant & Castle.
The majority of public transport within London is under the jurisdiction of the government body Transport for London (TfL). The TfL website - https://tfl.gov.uk - contains a wealth of information, including a journey planner, service status updates, maps, and fare information. For planning journeys, the public transport search tool on Google Maps - https://www.google.co.uk/maps - also offers real-time guidance about the best options.

This will enable you to pay-as-you-go for all London Underground (Tube/Subway), Bus, London Overground, Elizabeth Line, Docklands Light Railway, and selected National Rail services by simply tapping the designated electronic reader when entering, and in some cases, leaving the transport system. The cost of each individual journey can be calculated in advance here: https://tfl.gov.uk/fares/find-fares/tube-and-rail-fares/single-fare-finder.
Using Oyster/Contactless Payment is usually the best value, as it will automatically apply a cap to your fare, meaning that you will not pay more than the daily/weekly maximum amount regardless of the number of journeys that you undertake. (For more information, see https://tfl.gov.uk/fares/find-fares/tube-and-rail-fares/pay-as-you-go-caps).
If you would rather pay an upfront amount, TfL offers daily, 7 day, and monthly Travelcards which allow unlimited travel in the selected zones. For more information, see here: https://tfl.gov.uk/fares/how-to-pay-and-where-to-buy-tickets-and-oyster/travelcards-and-group-tickets. Oyster/Contactless pay-as-you-go still tends to be the cheaper option, although there are a few exceptions. For instance, Oyster/Contactless weekly caps cover journeys undertaken across a fixed Monday to Sunday period, whereas a 7 day travelcard can be purchased to start on any day of the week.
For a summary of the different payment options, see: https://tfl.gov.uk/travel-information/visiting-london/getting-around-london/best-ways-for-visitors-to-pay. Children under 11 travel free on most TfL services.
