TRAVELLING BY AIR

There are three main London airports located within the boundary area for Transport for London public transport services, allowing for travel into central London (via London Underground, bus, or National Rail) to be paid for with Oyster card/contactless accounts:

These are:
* London Heathrow Airport (https://www.heathrow.com)
* London Gatwick Airport (https://www.gatwickairport.com)
* London City Airport (https://www.londoncityairport.com)

There are also three others identified as ‘London’ airports, though in actuality these are located a little further afield. There are still robust public transport links between these airports and central London, but this will require separate tickets to be purchased – these are not in areas covered by Transport for London.

These are:
* London Luton Airport (https://www.london-luton.co.uk)
* London Stansted Airport (https://www.stanstedairport.com)
* London Southend Airport (https://londonsouthendairport.com)
